The TPAC curriculum combines foundational science with applied training. You will build a strong base in preventative health, stress management and mental well-being before moving into the study of musculoskeletal structure, movement patterns and the mechanics of the human body in motion. You will also deepen your understanding of energy metabolism, cardiorespiratory response and how the body performs under environmental stress, while gaining the knowledge to fuel peak performance through hands-on, computer-based nutritional analysis and planning. The program culminates in a capstone course that integrates and applies physiology, anatomy and biomechanics to the design and implementation of a real training regimen. Coursework can prepare you to pursue national certification as an applied exercise physiologist or equivalent credential.
Required Tactical Physiology and Conditioning Certificate Courses
This course provides the opportunity for the integration and application of physiological, anatomical, biomechanical principles to the design and implementation of a training regimen to enhance movement performance. All levels of physical performance will be addressed from activities of daily living to elite sport. Topics and application incorporate experiences necessary for preparation for national certification as an applied exercise physiologist (or similar).
